Derek Adams - CEO and Co-Founder
Derek Adams earned his PhD in Earth and Planetary Science from Northwestern University and worked for over a decade exploring for and developing large energy projects at ExxonMobil. His passion for energy drove him to pursue solutions to the energy transition where he leverages his expertise in subsurface characterization and reservoir development. By building a diverse team of like-minded experts, Derek is leading EarthBridge to enable a 100% renewable energy future.
Gustavo (Gus) Perez - CFO and Co-Founder
Gus leads EarthBridge’s Commercial and Financial Strategy by leveraging his 20+ years business finance and planning expertise with publicly traded companies in the Oil and Gas industry (BP & SLB) and other service companies in the energy services domain (CGG / Fugro). His career has always been close to the Reservoir Development arena with a global trajectory across Europe, South America and the US. He holds an MBA from the University of Houston and is a fellow rancher / Houston Rodeo enthusiast.

Doug Glaspey - Geothermal Development, Operations, Corporate Management
Doug has 40+ years experience in the natural resource industry, with 20+ years in geothermal development. He was a Founder, President and CEO of U.S. Geothermal Inc., a publicly traded company that successfully developed and operated three utility-scale geothermal power plants in the Western US. As a technological innovator and pragmatic problem solver, Doug has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in all aspects and stages required for geothermal projects.
Xingchao Wang, PhD - Energy Storage and Power Systems
Xingchao is jointly appointed to NREL and Colorado School of Mines as a Research Assistant Professor. His expertise includes: heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, advanced power cycles, conventional and renewable energy systems modeling and optimization.
Sonia Clayton - Business Innovation
Sonia Chairs the Global Energy Transition Organization, a coalition of leaders in business, higher education, and various government agencies that seeks to make positive changes to ensure economic sustainability of our state and country. She is also the President & CEO of VIRTUAL INTELLIGENCE PROVIDERS, LLC (“VIP-Global”) a Hispanic, Minority-Woman-Owned, Houston-based company recognized by more than 30 awards of excellence.
Paul Lundy - Co-Founder and Field Development Specialist
Paul has 30+ years worldwide experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, in positions ranging from individual contributor to Technical and Business Management (BD, M&A, New Ventures). He has extensive economic modeling and analysis experience, and has developed and given introductory courses to attendees ranging from graduates to senior management. He has worked onshore and offshore for both conventional and unconventional assets, in operator and non-operated positions.
Glen Lyons - Power Policy and Regulation
Glen recently retired from ExxonMobil Corporation after a 36-year career there. He led their US power policy and regulatory advocacy at the federal, state, and local levels. In that role he represented ExxonMobil on key electric regulatory issues and helped establish the company’s positions on clean electricity policies. Glen is also a former board member of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), serving in that role from 2018 through 2021.

Carolyn is the Director of The Woodlands (GREEN) Grass-Roots Environmental Education Network, a tax-deductible 501(c)(3) all-volunteer educational organization that promotes natural resource conservation, recycling, solid waste reduction, safe and sensible care of our air and water resources, and other responsible actions that protect the environment and its inhabitants.
Mike Hayes, PhD - Resource Advisor
Mike has over 35 years experience as ExxonMobil’s primary reservoir quality expert. With global experience, Mike has intimate knowledge of US Gulf Coast subsurface geology. He also has expertise in sedimentary petrology, geochemistry, stratigraphy, petroleum systems analysis, and basin modeling and earned his PhD in Geological and Earth Sciences from U.C. - Santa Barbara.
Tom Victorio - Power Markets
For the past 12 years Tom has held the position of Director of Finance at a major US-based utility company. He has extensive knowledge and experience in electricity markets and PPAs and earned his MBA from MiT.
Tim Davies - Technology Advisor
Tim is the CEO of Canadian geothermal company Turkana, Inc. and has experience and expertise in: Signal Processing, Medical Imaging, NDT imaging, Science team management , Artificial Intelligence, Seismic imaging, super-computing, Robots, Drones , Vision systems, Invention, and AI.
