EarthBridge Energy’s CFO talks geothermal and energy storage on drilling conference panel

A panel of industry experts discussed challenges and opportunities around geothermal development at the 2022 International Association of Drilling Contractors ART Conference.

Gustavo Perez, EarthBridge Energy’s Chief Financial Officer, discussed how geothermal can play a pivotal role in the energy transition, particularly via energy storage. While on the well-attended conference panel, Mr. Perez commented that “We all know that geothermal can be a key source of renewable baseload power and heat but geothermal can also also work hand in hand with other renewables to help green the grid through energy storage.” He continued, “Our GeoBattery energy storage technology enables intermittent renewables, like wind and solar, to become a baseload energy source, at the same time reducing emissions and stabilizing our power grid. We no longer have to choose between stability and emissions.”
